Associate Director – Statistical Programming (Hyderabad)

Job Summary:

Syneos Health is actively seeking a seasoned Associate Director of Statistical Programming to join its global clinical development operations in Hyderabad, India. This leadership position is ideal for experienced SAS programmers who possess deep expertise in ADaM, TFLs, and SDTM, and who can confidently manage large teams across diverse clinical projects. With 12+ years in pharma programming, the ideal candidate will lead statistical programming initiatives, ensure data quality, and contribute to global drug development success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage statistical programming staff regionally, including performance reviews, training needs, and mentoring

  • Ensure timely, high-quality programming deliverables for global clinical trials

  • Oversee project assignments, resource allocation, and client escalations

  • Drive adherence to standard processes, budgets, and contractual agreements

  • Collaborate with Biostatistics, Clinical Data Management, and IT to streamline programming services

  • Represent statistical programming in bid defenses and client engagements

  • Champion employee development, succession planning, and skill diversification


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Statistical Programming within clinical trials

  • Expertise in SAS, ADaM, TFLs, and CDISC SDTM standards

  • 2–3 years of experience managing 30–40 FTEs in a clinical or CRO environment

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong people management and client relationship handling skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Proven experience in solving technical programming challenges
