Associate Director – Statistical Programming (Hybrid) – Syneos Health, Hyderabad
Job Summary
Syneos Health, a global biopharmaceutical solutions leader, is hiring an Associate Director – Statistical Programming for its Hyderabad location. This hybrid role is ideal for experienced SAS programmers with a strong clinical trial background. The position involves team leadership, technical oversight, and strategic client engagement. You’ll work in a high-impact role supporting global clinical studies and managing programming teams while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity in submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 30–40 Statistical Programmers regionally
Oversee performance management, training, and development
Ensure timely and high-quality statistical programming deliverables
Allocate resources efficiently across multiple global projects
Facilitate resolution of conflicts and maintain team productivity
Support business development through RFPs and client meetings
Communicate regularly with senior leadership on project status
Troubleshoot complex technical programming issues
Contribute to SOP development and cross-functional coordination
Required Skills & Qualifications
12+ years in statistical programming in a clinical trial setting
Expertise in SAS, including SDTM, ADaM, and TFLs
Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing teams of 30–40 FTEs
Proven track record in client engagement and escalation management
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in GCP, ICH, and regulatory submission processes preferred
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
