    Role Overview

    The Project Manager will manage and oversee assigned projects to ensure timely execution, achievement of desired project performance, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams while upholding Syngene's values of Integrity, Excellence, and Professionalism.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to Syngene's safety practices and ensure safety for self and team members.
    • Contribute to developing and implementing safety systems, ensuring safe operations and compliance with company integrity and quality standards.
    • Ensure timely completion of mandatory safety and data integrity training by all team members.
    • Report incidents and near-misses promptly and hold team members accountable for safety goals.

    Project Planning and Execution:

    • Fully understand and engage with customers to deliver expected project performance (quality, on-time, within budget) and exceed customer expectations.
    • Develop project initiation documents (charters) and assemble the necessary stakeholders.
    • Create detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
    • Proactively identify risks and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Run review meetings and track decisions, ensuring proper follow-up on action items.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Identify and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
    • Ensure transparent communication, including the sharing of dashboards and status updates.
    • Foster a collaborative and cross-functional approach, promoting a shared vision and common metrics within the team.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Analyze project data to detect patterns and enable continuous improvement and organizational learning.
    • Manage customer relationships, tracking sentiment and managing escalations effectively.

    Educational Qualifications and Experience

    • Education:

      • Degree in life sciences or a related field; management qualifications are a plus.
      • A globally recognized project management certification is highly desirable.

    • Experience:

      • 10 years of relevant experience in a reputed CRO/CDMO/Product/Services/Consulting company.
      • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a current portfolio exceeding USD 5 million in a multicultural environment.

    • Understanding of finance, modeling, and simulation processes.

    Communication Skills:

    • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication.
    • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.

    Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Ability to resolve conflicts in a win-win manner, anticipate customer needs, and develop appropriate solutions.
