Role Overview

Novo Nordisk India is hiring Product Specialist / Senior Product Specialist professionals to strengthen its Cardiometabolic Sales Team in Hyderabad. This opportunity is ideal for motivated pharmaceutical sales professionals with strong field execution skills and experience in diabetes, cardiometabolic, or chronic therapy segments.

In this role, you will drive prescription generation, stakeholder engagement, and territory performance while contributing to Novo Nordisk’s mission of improving outcomes in diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, map, and engage key healthcare stakeholders within the assigned territory in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager.

  • Promote Novo Nordisk products through regular doctor interactions, addressing clinical queries, managing objections, and driving prescription uptake.

  • Achieve defined sales effectiveness KPIs, including call average, frequency, coverage, order booking, and revenue targets.

  • Ensure uninterrupted product availability by coordinating with C&FA agents and stockists and managing timely order placement.

  • Conduct prescription audits, competitor tracking, and market intelligence to evaluate territory performance and doctor engagement.

  • Support strategic doctor segmentation, assist in order execution, and share market insights with sales leadership.

  • Organize approved promotional and educational activities in compliance with company guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate, timely reporting and administrative documentation.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (full-time).

  • 1–7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in diabetes, cardiometabolic, or chronic care segments.

  • Strong understanding of assigned territory, customer base, and distribution network.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Sound business acumen with analytical and execution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work independently in a target-driven, field-based role.
