The Paperpal product team is seeking a Product Design Intern passionate about shaping the future of academic research. This internship is ideal for individuals eager to learn, solve real-world user challenges, and translate ideas into simple, impactful design solutions.
As a Product Design Intern, you will work closely with our Principal Product Designer, gaining hands-on experience in user research, design thinking, and creating intuitive, pixel-perfect products. This role provides a unique opportunity to grow your design skills while contributing to solutions used by researchers globally.
Responsibilities
Support the product design team in various stages of the design lifecycle.
Assist in creating wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs that align with user needs.
Learn and utilize modern design tools and software to enhance design capabilities.
Execute design tasks under the guidance of experienced designers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and usability.
Qualifications and Prerequisites
Proficiency in Figma or similar design software; openness to learning new tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and thought process (mandatory).
Solid understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Fresh graduates or students with 0–1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
