Job Title: Process Coach (Medical Coding)

Role Description Overview:

The Process Coach (PC) is responsible for coaching employees, tracking and trending performance data, and driving improvement initiatives in alignment with process and quality requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training and Development:

    • Conduct effective training sessions for new joiners on Medical Coding concepts, guidelines, and client-specific requirements.

    • Educate trainees on the latest updates in coding practices and industry standards.

  2. Performance Monitoring:

    • Track and monitor trainees' productivity and quality performance against the OJT glide path and ramp-up targets.

    • Identify underperforming employees and implement tailored improvement programs.

  3. Feedback and Improvement:

    • Provide structured, continuous feedback to trainees on their productivity and quality.

    • Conduct one-on-one sessions to address recurring errors and reinforce learning.

    • Collaborate with Team Leads to facilitate early confirmation of trainees by providing valuable performance insights.

  4. Process and Quality Compliance:

    • Ensure alignment with internal and external SLAs as defined by the process.

    • Pass on quality control (QC) feedback to trainees effectively to drive improvements.

  5. Client-Specific Education:

    • Train employees on client specifications, guidelines, and quality expectations.

    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

  6. Improvement Initiatives:

    • Identify trends in performance data to design and implement improvement strategies.


Desired Profile:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of professional and relevant experience in Medical Coding, specializing in Same Day Surgery and IVR.

  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong coaching and training skills with the ability to employ varied strategies.

    • In-depth knowledge of healthcare concepts and coding practices.

    • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency in healthcare products and process knowledge.
