Job Overview

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and business process solutions, is hiring Pharmacovigilance Executives to support end-to-end drug safety operations. This role is ideal for life sciences professionals looking to build or strengthen their career in pharmacovigilance, case processing, and patient safety compliance within a global delivery environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end case processing activities, including case intake, data entry, coding, and assessment using safety databases such as Argus.

  • Analyze and interpret complex safety data related to adverse events and patient safety cases.

  • Ensure full compliance with global and local pharmacovigilance SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and patient safety policies.

  • Execute and manage follow-up procedures to obtain missing or additional safety information.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to the development and implementation of new drug safety systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and timelines across all pharmacovigilance activities.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support a performance-driven and quality-focused culture.


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance case handling workflows.

  • Hands-on experience with Argus Safety or similar PV databases.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and document complex clinical and safety data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined timelines.

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Science (B.Sc), Life Sciences, or related discipline.

  • Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or Science (M.Sc) is an added advantage.


Experience Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, or Patient Safety Operations.

  • Freshers with strong foundational knowledge in pharmacovigilance may be considered based on project requirements.
