Role Overview

The Patient Recruitment & Retention Specialist is responsible for designing and executing strategies to optimize patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure study enrollment targets are met while providing an excellent participant experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive patient recruitment plans tailored to individual clinical trials.

  • Collaborate with clinical research teams to identify target patient populations and outreach strategies.

  • Utilize diverse channels, including digital marketing, social media, and community outreach, to promote trial participation.

  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and community organizations.

  • Conduct market research to understand patient needs, preferences, and barriers to trial participation.

  • Monitor recruitment metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to achieve recruitment goals.

  • Provide guidance and support to patients throughout the recruitment process, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in patient recruitment and engagement.


Required Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, marketing, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • Extensive experience in patient recruitment or clinical research.

  • Proven ability to design and implement successful recruitment strategies that engage and retain participants.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating recruitment metrics and data-driven decision making.

  • Creative thinker with a focus on improving patient access to clinical trials and patient experience.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms for outreach.

  • Willingness to travel for outreach initiatives, events, and meetings as required.
