Overview

This Patent Drafting Lead position offers an excellent opportunity to work across global intellectual property projects involving patent drafting, patent prosecution, and client management. The role involves preparing high-quality patent applications, evaluating invention disclosures, and supporting end-to-end patent processes for international clients.

Experience Required

Fresher eligible (0 years).
Candidates with prior exposure or internships in patent drafting, intellectual property, or technical writing will be considered an added advantage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patent application drafts in compliance with USPTO, EPO, and PCT requirements.

  • Review invention disclosures and prior art to assess the patentability of innovations.

  • Conduct technical discussions and inventor interviews in coordination with client IP counsel.

  • Manage multiple projects independently while ensuring high accuracy and adherence to internal quality standards.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project timelines.

  • Support reporting managers and project managers in project scoping and delivery planning.

  • Maintain flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet client requirements.


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, or related engineering fields.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, telecommunications technologies, and relevant technical domains.

  • Basic knowledge of patent drafting principles and intellectual property frameworks.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments within strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.


Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Working knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD, or similar drawing tools.

  • Exposure to patent search, patent analytics, or patent prosecution processes.

  • Familiarity with patent and non-patent databases.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.

  • Prior experience managing client deliverables in technology-focused environments.
