About the Role

IQVIA’s In-Home Clinical Solutions team is seeking a qualified and dedicated Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to provide in-home diagnostic and clinical services.
You’ll travel to patients’ residences to conduct medical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and macular edema screenings — supporting treatment initiation and adherence.

This per diem, flexible role offers autonomy, hourly compensation (including travel time), and no minimum visit requirement. IQVIA handles all patient scheduling and coordination, allowing you to focus exclusively on clinical care.


Position Details

  • Employment Type: Per Diem, Mobile-Based

  • Schedule: Flexible (no minimum monthly visit commitment)

  • Compensation: Hourly pay (includes appointment + travel time, 2-hour minimum per visit)

  • Mileage Reimbursement: IRS-standard rate


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport following IQVIA and regulatory protocols.

  • Comply with laboratory safety and specimen handling procedures.

  • Conduct clinical screenings, including:

    • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

    • Macular edema screening exams (training provided)

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, including supply storage.

  • Manage and track clinical supply inventory.

  • Collaborate with IQVIA’s clinical coordination team to complete and submit documentation promptly and accurately.

  • Identify and report adverse events, medical product complaints, or patient inquiries per company and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate mileage and time logs for compliance and reimbursement.


Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings (required).

    • At least 1 year of EKG experience (preferred).

  • Education & Certification:

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

    • In Washington or Louisiana, state-issued CMA or CPT license is required.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., medical kits or diagnostic equipment).

  • Travel:

    • Willingness to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency with medical equipment and documentation standards.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.

    • Fluent English (spoken and written).

  • Other Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license (driving record reviewed prior to hire).

    • Must pass drug screening and background check post-offer.


Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour (base rate).

  • Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, education, location, and work schedule.
