Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Creative Development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce original work across digital and print media.

  • Develop content for diverse audiences including HCPs, patients, and consumers.

  • Ensure tone, style, and structure align with brand strategy, creative briefs, and client expectations.

  • Translate complex medical/technical documents (clinical studies, monographs, publications) into clear, compelling messages.

Brand & Therapeutic Area Specialization

  • Gain strong understanding of assigned brands, diseases, and therapeutic categories.

  • Ensure all content adheres to healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising requirements.

Writing Quality & Compliance

  • Demonstrate high-level writing craftsmanship, including referencing, annotating, and MLR-compliant submissions.

  • Prepare concepts/copy within deadlines, allowing time for feedback and revisions.

  • Maintain content matrices, core claims documents, and modular content used in omnichannel marketing.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Support senior copywriters and assist in multiple ongoing projects.

  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.

  • Keep supervisors updated on project status and perform additional tasks as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

  • 8–11 years of experience in healthcare communication agencies (AMA experience preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience writing for multiple channels:

    • Sales aids

    • Websites

    • Social media

    • Direct mail

    • Patient/HCP educational materials

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in pharma, science, or medicine.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of medical and scientific content.

  • Knowledge of AMA Style Guide (certification optional).

  • Experience with referencing, annotating, and client MLR submission processes.

  • Outstanding conceptual and creative thinking skills.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and desire to work with diverse teams and projects.
