Job Summary
IQVIA is seeking a highly qualified Medical Strategy Lead – Obesity (Director level) to join its global Obesity Center of Excellence. This is a remote-based opportunity for board-certified endocrinologists or cardiologists passionate about obesity and metabolic disease research. You'll drive strategic innovation in weight loss clinical trials, leveraging IQVIA's vast data resources to shape cutting-edge, evidence-based, and patient-centric solutions in a fast-growing therapeutic area.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver strategic, patient-centered clinical trial strategies in obesity and metabolic disorders
Drive business development through scientific leadership, client engagement, and proposal contributions
Serve as a therapeutic subject matter expert across all IQVIA divisions and customer projects
Guide clinical development planning, feasibility assessments, and data-driven study design
Lead bid defense meetings and support client presentations with scientific insights
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical, regulatory, and commercial trends in metabolism
Represent IQVIA at medical and scientific conferences and lead thought leadership initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Board-certified Endocrinologist or Cardiologist from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of clinical research and/or clinical trials operational experience
In-depth knowledge of obesity, metabolism, and cardiovascular clinical development
Familiarity with ICH-GCP and global regulatory requirements
Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and financial understanding
Ability to lead within matrixed, cross-functional teams in a global setting
Excellent communication, mentoring, and client-facing skills
Technologically adept in research and data tools
