Role Summary:

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) serves as the primary scientific interface between Novartis and Medical Experts (MEs). The role focuses on medical engagement, providing educational strategies, and supporting clinical research programs to optimize patient care and ensure Novartis products' success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Medical Experts to educate them on medical/scientific information and Novartis' products.
  • Identify and map MEs and key accounts, exploring opportunities to involve MEs in addressing specific medical needs.
  • Develop and execute ME engagement plans that align with the country strategy to prioritize and strategically engage MEs.
  • Respond to unsolicited information requests from MEs.
  • Support Novartis clinical research programs, optimize trial execution, and provide educational support to study sites in collaboration with clinical operations.
  • Facilitate Investigator-Initiated Trial (IIT) processes upon investigator request.
  • Act as a medical resource for field matrix colleagues.
  • Report technical complaints, adverse events, and special cases involving Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Distribute marketing samples where applicable and ensure adherence to Ethics and Compliance policies.
  • Achieve annual targets for medical activities and objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Expertise in operations management and execution.
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams and boundaries.
  • Desirable: Experience in oncology.
