Role Summary:

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) leads scientific engagements with Medical Experts (MEs) and implements clinical and educational strategies. The role includes responding to unsolicited medical inquiries, supporting clinical research programs, and ensuring compliance with ethical and compliance policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Medical Experts (MEs) to provide scientific and medical information.
  • Identify and map MEs and key accounts to uncover opportunities aligned with medical needs.
  • Develop and execute ME engagement plans in line with country strategy.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests from MEs with relevant, accurate information.
  • Support Novartis clinical research programs, optimize trial execution, and provide scientific education for study sites.
  • Facilitate the Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) process upon investigator request.
  • Act as a medical resource for field matrix colleagues.
  • Report technical complaints, adverse events, or special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours.
  • Distribute marketing samples (where applicable).
  • Work within ethical and compliance guidelines to achieve annual medical activity targets.
