TCS is seeking a qualified Medical Reviewer to join its Drug Safety team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for medical graduates with strong clinical understanding and experience in pharmacovigilance or medical review processes. The selected candidate will support safety operations for global pharmaceutical projects and ensure high-quality medical assessments in compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical review of clinical cases, solicited and spontaneous reports, and literature cases, ensuring accurate medical assessment, labeling, and causality evaluation.

  • Review case details including seriousness, coding accuracy, narratives, AE/SAE terms, suspect/concomitant medications, lab findings, and medical history in the global clinical context.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of disease biology, product safety profiles, and key safety concerns for marketed and developmental drugs.

  • Ensure adherence to global and local regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and reporting timelines.

  • Provide medical expertise to Drug Safety teams to enhance the accuracy and quality of adverse event processing.

  • Support audits and represent the safety physician team in internal and external safety forums.

  • Contribute to improving safety processes and maintaining compliance across projects.


Required Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Medical Review, Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, or Clinical Case Evaluation.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, safety reporting guidelines, and clinical documentation.


Educational Qualifications

  • MBBS or MD (mandatory)


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of medical regulatory principles and product safety concepts.

  • Ability to review clinical information with accuracy and scientific judgment.

  • Familiarity with global safety databases and pharmacovigilance processes.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and compliance-oriented approach.
