About the Role

The Medical Advisor will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and execution of Medical Affairs strategies for the assigned therapy area. This includes providing scientific information, assisting in the design and organization of clinical studies, and building educational dialogues with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and regulatory stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Support: Align country medical affairs strategy with global strategy, local insights, and market conditions; ensure the effective implementation of Medical Affairs activities within the designated therapy area(s).
  • Engagement & Scientific Exchange: Coordinate scientific meetings, symposia, congresses, Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs, and other activities that add value to the therapy area. Develop engagement plans for customer-facing activities and ensure timely, compliant execution.
  • Medical Inquiries: Respond to medical inquiries in a timely and high-quality manner, and create response documents for frequently asked questions.
  • Clinical Research Support: Provide medical/scientific input in the development and execution of clinical trials, including initiation and oversight of clinical research within the therapeutic area. Support country strategy for Non-Interventional Studies/Investigator Initiated Trials.
  • Material Review & Approval: Coordinate the review and approval of medical materials and locally developed promotional materials, ensuring they are aligned with global content and tailored to local needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide medical insights to various cross-functional teams including Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Quality Assurance, and Brand teams.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, create mitigation plans, and implement appropriate controls within the scope of responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Essential Qualifications:

    • MBBS or MD with at least 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong knowledge in Clinical Trial Design, Data & Reporting, Medical Science, and Disease Area.
    • Experience in Medical Education, Scientific Engagement, and Non-Interventional Studies.
    • Familiarity with Medical Governance and Medical Safety.
    • Operations Management and Project Management experience.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills across various boundaries.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience in Cardiovascular therapy area is a plus.
