Role Overview

As a Medical Information Specialist, you will be at the forefront of Patient Safety, engaging daily with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. This highly visible role is critical to ensuring the safety and quality of products across multiple therapeutic areas, including:

  • Respiratory

  • Infectious Diseases

  • Immunology & Inflammation

  • HIV

  • Oncology

You will contribute to optimizing product safety profiles while receiving continuous training and development from IQVIA’s in-house safety experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide phone support to healthcare professionals and patients (medical inquiries, adverse events, product quality complaints, and related calls).

  • Receive and document incoming communications (calls, faxes, emails) from various sources, including investigative sites.

  • Maintain clear and effective team communication; provide feedback on project metrics, challenges, and successes.

  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Safety team members to build a positive and supportive team environment.

  • Participate in training across Lifecycle Safety service lines and working groups for process improvements and new initiatives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Healthcare (mandatory).

  • Languages: Excellent written and spoken German and English (C1 level minimum).

  • Strong attention to detail with consistently high-quality standards.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new skills across Lifecycle Safety service offerings.
