🎯 Role Overview: Medical Engagement Associate

As a Medical Engagement Associate, you will support the Patient Support Program (PSP) team to drive patient enrollment, engagement, and adherence to prescribed therapies. You’ll serve as the key liaison for patient interaction, ensuring positive health outcomes through counseling, follow-up, and coordination with healthcare stakeholders.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

Area 1: Patient Engagement and Therapy Adherence

  • Counsel patients for improved health outcomes based on defined program touchpoints.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with patients to track adherence and engagement.

  • Ensure proper handling and reporting of Adverse Events (AEs) and market complaints in line with SOPs.

  • Assist with financial deviation approvals when required.

  • Provide empathetic support to patients throughout their treatment journey.

  • Act as a liaison between patients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth care coordination.

  • Update CRM systems with complete and accurate patient data per program/brand requirements.

  • Respond to patient queries using pre-defined FAQs.


Area 2: Operational Support

  • Accurately capture Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) using standardized templates within Turnaround Time (TAT).

  • Participate in training programs and receive ongoing feedback for performance improvement.

  • Submit timely and accurate reports to reporting managers.

  • Attend client and internal review meetings as scheduled.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure program success.

  • Work on emails and telephonic queries from stakeholders and patients.

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and other operational KPIs.

  • Take ownership of small/medium-sized tasks or project components.

  • Participate actively in people and culture initiatives.


🧾 Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have

  • Education:

    • B.Pharm, B.Sc, or any Life Science graduate.

  • Experience:

    • 6 months to 1 year of experience in patient counseling or a related healthcare support role.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and a local/vernacular language.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    • High level of empathy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
