Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Copyeditor (Copy Coordinator) to collaborate with the New York copy team and manage the referencing, annotations, and medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) submissions for pharmaceutical marketing materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, expertise in healthcare content editing, and the ability to maintain the accuracy and quality of manuscripts while adhering to brand guidelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Update and finalize manuscripts to match approved art layouts.

  • Upload and archive manuscripts in the online server system.

  • Manage references using Veeva library, maintaining tags and links.

  • Annotate manuscripts with reference information supporting core claims.

  • Highlight references to assist reviewers in copy claims validation.

  • Update Core Claims Documents with approved or updated claims.

  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate on word-for-word reviews of copy against backup documentation.

  • Maintain agency copy and reference archives on SharePoint.

  • Participate in internal reviews, status meetings, and training sessions.

  • Ensure adherence to timelines and escalate issues when needed.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Communications, Biology, English, or related field).

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat (annotation tools).

  • Veeva/Fuse platform experience preferred.

  • Excellent written communication skills and email drafting abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills to handle multiple projects.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
