Role Summary

The Creative & Graphics Design Team Lead will lead Pfizer’s Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) Creative Team, supporting medical communication needs across all therapeutic areas—Internal Medicine, Specialty Care, Vaccines, and Oncology.
This role combines creative leadership, project management, and medical communication strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate, and visually engaging materials.


Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the Creative & Graphics Design Team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.

  • Manage team resources, workloads, and project allocations to ensure timely, high-quality outputs.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members.

  • Collaborate closely with MCCS Category Leads, Business Operations, and MCC leadership to align on strategy and deliverables.

  • Develop strategies for talent attraction, retention, and continuous skill development.


2. Strategic Medical Communication Development

  • Drive creation of scientifically accurate, visually engaging materials such as posters, infographics, presentations, videos, publications, and digital content.

  • Partner with medical writers, scientific experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex scientific data into accessible visual formats.

  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Pfizer standards, SOPs, branding, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Align communication design strategies with therapeutic and business objectives.


3. Project Management

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Develop and track project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.

  • Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure smooth project execution.


4. Operational Excellence

  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, brand guidelines, and legal requirements.

  • Streamline design processes to enhance operational efficiency and turnaround times.

  • Track and report performance metrics including productivity, quality, and budget utilization.


5. Innovation & Best Practices

  • Stay current with trends in medical communications, digital design, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, AR/VR).

  • Leverage advanced tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI-based platforms to elevate creative output.

  • Introduce innovative design methods to enhance impact and engagement of medical materials.

  • Promote digital transformation and continuous improvement within the creative function.


Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual/Digital Arts, Communication Design, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years in graphic design, preferably in medical communications, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.

    • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience managing creative teams.
