Job Summary:

We are hiring a Manager – EHS to lead all Environment, Health, and Safety operations at our Baddi plant. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience ensuring full EHS compliance across both project and operational phases in pharmaceutical or industrial setups. This role plays a crucial part in risk assessment, behavior-based safety implementation, and compliance with ISO and statutory regulations, contributing directly to a safe and productive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Safety Management:

  • Develop and review plant safety policies and risk control processes

  • Ensure site-wide compliance with national and company-specific EHS standards

  • Lead behavioral safety initiatives and contractor safety programs

  • Oversee On-site Emergency Plan development and execution

  • Facilitate certified PPE availability and use across contractors

  • Drive ergonomic integration across work areas

  • Maintain EHS documentation and compliance for all new projects

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate safety equipment and ensure statutory compliance

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions

  • Approve JHA/JSA for construction activities

  • Manage work permits (e.g., hot work, height work, confined space)

  • Conduct daily toolbox safety talks

  • Oversee inspection of lifting devices and scaffolding

  • Enforce LOTO compliance and hazardous waste disposal standards

  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring 100% compliance

  • Own water safety activities from extraction to discharge

People Management:

  • Organize safety, health & environment training programs

  • Promote safety awareness through campaigns and competitions

  • Coordinate with ISO-Train system for training documentation and compliance


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Safety

  • 10–15 years of experience in EHS roles within industrial or pharma environments

  • Strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations and documentation

  • Expertise in behavioral-based safety and contractor EHS compliance

  • Skilled in conducting audits, hazard assessments, and emergency preparedness

  • Proficient in permit systems (LOTO, hot work, height work)

  • Strong communication and team coordination skills
