Position Overview

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Operations to lead and develop a high-performing team of clinical professionals supporting global and regional clinical studies. This leadership role is ideal for professionals with strong operational expertise in clinical research and a proven ability to manage teams, resources, and study performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage clinical operations staff in alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and project needs.

  • Oversee workload assignment, performance evaluation, professional development, and overall team engagement.

  • Support hiring processes through candidate review, interviews, and onboarding of new team members.

  • Ensure staff have appropriate training, systems access, and resources to perform assigned responsibilities.

  • Oversee training execution, SOP compliance, and documentation requirements for all assigned personnel.

  • Allocate staff to clinical studies based on experience, skill level, and training requirements.

  • Evaluate the quality of clinical deliverables, providing feedback and corrective action plans to address performance gaps.

  • Identify operational risks and implement preventive or corrective strategies to maintain study quality.

  • Monitor team workloads and quality metrics, reporting progress to clinical operations leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address project challenges and support high-quality customer service.

  • Contribute to organizational process improvement initiatives and quality enhancement projects.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or healthcare-related field (required).

  • Prior experience in clinical trials, including leadership or management experience, is required.

  • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor clinical staff.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid command of English.

  • Excellent organizational abilities with proficiency in problem-solving and prioritization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, clients, and colleagues.

Compensation

The annual base pay range for this position is USD 86,500 to USD 216,000 Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Additional incentives, bonuses, and benefits may be provided depending on the role.
