Managing Consultant – Navitas Life Sciences

Job Purpose

The Managing Consultant will lead client relationships, drive business development, and deliver consultancy projects for Navitas Life Sciences. This role is central to ensuring robust client solutions, growing revenue, and mentoring project teams.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Client Solutions

  • Lead a portfolio of consultancy projects to ensure effective delivery of client solutions.

  • Own project delivery from initial brief to final delivery, acting as the primary client contact.

  • Collaborate with clients to define requirements, scope projects, and prepare business cases and statements of work.

  • Prepare project management plans, structures, controls, reporting tools, and routine status reports.

  • Manage project scope, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, documentation, and timelines.

  • Drive project resources and profitability.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects and Navitas Life Sciences’ industry-leading networks.

  • Contribute expertise to analysis, design, and implementation of projects.

Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate revenue and drive business growth.

  • Promote Navitas Life Sciences services and contribute to revenue targets (e.g., $500k).

  • Conduct new business development activities and develop client-focused proposals.

  • Own client communication, develop solutions, and extend relationships across 4–5 clients.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Coach, mentor, and manage project teams (2–6 members) to encourage teamwork and professional growth.

  • Set project objectives, provide feedback, and support development of team members.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure effective project execution.

Strategic Contribution & Knowledge Management

  • Actively participate in strategic initiatives, internal projects, and business improvement activities.

  • Develop collateral for projects/domain areas (e.g., case studies, PoVs, best practices).

  • Serve as an internal SME to capture, develop, and disseminate knowledge.

  • Lead company meeting sessions and act as a role model for Navitas Life Sciences initiatives.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Industry Experience: 8 years in Life Sciences or consulting, including:

    • 4 years in a senior consulting role

    • 3 years in Life Sciences/Pharma industry

    • 2 years in business development

  • Preferred Domains:

    • Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance

    • Clinical Development Processes

    • Labelling & Regulatory Affairs

    • Risk Management, Quality & Compliance

  • Consulting & Leadership Skills:

    • Strong consulting methodologies and tools

    • Compelling communication and facilitation skills

    • Senior-level client and stakeholder management

    • Excellent project management (complexity, resources, profitability)

    • Business development experience with demonstrated success (e.g., $500k revenue)
