Job Overview:
Navitas Life Sciences is seeking an experienced and highly strategic Senior Managing Consultant to lead complex consultancy engagements, drive high-value business development, and contribute to leadership initiatives across the organization. This role requires a balance of deep domain expertise, business acumen, and leadership maturity to guide teams, win large accounts, and develop innovative solutions across Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality/Risk Management domains.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Leadership:

  • Lead and oversee multiple complex consulting projects, acting as the prime client contact

  • Deliver end-to-end project ownership: from scoping, budgeting, execution to final delivery

  • Apply expert insight into analysis, solution design, and implementation to ensure high-impact outcomes

  • Actively lead the development of Navitas' brand and intellectual property through innovative concepts, frameworks, and domain-driven solutions

  • Ensure profitability through robust project budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control

Business Development & Account Ownership:

  • Own 3–4 key accounts, building long-term, trusted relationships and driving repeat business

  • Lead business development activities contributing $500K–$1M in annual revenue, including:

    • Lead generation and networking

    • Client briefings and proposal development

    • Negotiation and contract closure

  • Identify new business opportunities through industry trends, conferences, and competitor insights

  • Position Navitas strategically by integrating market intelligence and service differentiation

Team Leadership & Coaching:

  • Lead and mentor 2–6 consultants and 1–2 direct reports

  • Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and develop capability across the consulting function

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and skill-building within project teams and broader functions

  • Manage workload, team structure, and role clarity to drive both employee growth and project delivery efficiency

Organizational Contribution & Thought Leadership:

  • Co-lead strategic internal themes, business improvement initiatives, and transformation efforts

  • Develop and disseminate key domain knowledge including:

    • Case studies, whitepapers, best practice documents, and points of view (PoVs)

  • Participate actively in company meetings, events, and culture-building efforts as a leadership role model

  • Contribute to recruitment and talent selection aligned with Navitas' values and growth plans


Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years in Life Sciences or consulting

    • 6–8 years in senior-level consulting/project leadership

    • 3 years in Pharma/Clinical/Regulatory/PV industry roles

    • 3+ years in business development or strategic client-facing roles

  • Domain Expertise (any one required):

    • Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance

    • Regulatory Affairs & Labelling

    • Clinical Development Processes

    • Quality and Risk Compliance

  • Key Competencies:

    • Strong consulting toolkit: problem-solving frameworks, project structuring, and delivery methodologies

    • Exceptional client and stakeholder management across senior and C-level roles

    • Demonstrated sales success ($500K–$1M) annually, with strong negotiation and proposal capabilities

    • Strategic mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity, drive innovation, and execute with impact

  • Leadership Skills:

    • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and manage high-performing teams

    • Experienced in recruitment, performance management, and organizational development

    • Self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ability to drive transformation internally and externally


Estimated Salary: ₹45 – ₹60 LPA (depending on BD performance and leadership experience)
