About the Role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Language Quality Specialist to support global translation quality initiatives across our multilingual supplier network. This position plays a key role in maintaining, evaluating, and improving language quality standards, ensuring accurate and high-quality deliverables for international projects.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Project Managers, internal linguists, external reviewers, and leadership teams to strengthen the organization’s language quality systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of Quality Feedback Reports and Improvement Plans for selected linguistic resources.

  • Analyze language quality issues and design global and local improvement strategies with project and quality teams.

  • Support Talent Managers and Project Managers in identifying and anticipating quality challenges.

  • Evaluate linguistic resources for promotion, retention, or demotion based on quality performance data.

  • Conduct continuous analysis of resource performance and language quality metrics.

  • Monitor edit distance measurements and contribute to improving multilingual output quality.

  • Implement global language quality strategies, including tools and workflows for outsourced translation review.

  • Collaborate with the Terminology Coordinator to maintain and enhance language assets.

  • Contribute to the development of SOPs and best practices for the organization’s quality management system.

  • Assist in strengthening the global Quality System with a focus on efficiency and consistency.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience Level: 3 to 5 years in language quality management, preferably handling multilingual projects.

  • Strong mediation and negotiation skills within multicultural environments.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to fast-changing workflows.

  • High level of motivation, quality focus, and accountability.

  • Higher education in translation, linguistics, or related fields; equivalent professional experience is acceptable.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Expertise in multilingual quality monitoring processes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.


Physical Requirements

  • Regular keyboard use involving repetitive finger motions.

  • Extensive verbal communication via phone and virtual meetings.

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
