Job Summary

IQVIA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Safety Associate Specialist in Nairobi to join its Safety Operations team. This is a dynamic pharmacovigilance role involving adverse event tracking, literature reviews, and safety data processing. The ideal candidate will be a life sciences graduate with strong English communication skills, ready to contribute to improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare on a global scale.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacovigilance activities as per project requirements

  • Collect and track incoming Adverse Events (AEs) and endpoint information

  • Review, interpret, and process medical safety data

  • Determine initial/update status of events

  • Code Adverse Events and Products and write safety narratives

  • Perform literature-related safety surveillance

  • Ensure timely and accurate safety data reporting per SOPs and regulatory guidelines

  • Identify and escalate quality concerns

  • Participate in team meetings and provide project-related feedback


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a healthcare-related discipline

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills (minimum CEFR level C1)

  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards

  • Organizational and time management capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

  • Willingness to learn across pharmacovigilance service lines

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
