Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate codes

  • Follow established coding guidelines and regulatory standards

  • Learn and effectively utilize medical coding software

  • Apply foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to interpret documentation

  • Stay up to date with changes in the medical coding field through training sessions

  • Maintain confidentiality and protect the security of patient information

  • Adhere to company policies, including flexibility in work assignments, shift changes, or relocations


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

    • Medical Science

    • Life Science / Bioscience

    • Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Nursing or Allied Health

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

  • Familiarity with ICD-10 guidelines and correct implementation

  • Ability to review and assess the accuracy and completeness of medical records


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAPC or AHIMA certification

  • Experience in Risk Adjustment coding
