Job Summary:

The Junior Medical Coder will undergo structured training and assessments, with an opportunity to become a confirmed Junior Coder within 6 months. The role involves understanding coding principles, complying with quality and security standards, and actively contributing to process improvements in a team-based environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in classroom training sessions and assessments with ≥85% accuracy

  • Meet targets for MOCK chart reviews consistently

  • Convert to confirmed Junior Coder status within a maximum of 6 months from joining (based on performance)

  • Maintain punctuality, attendance, and adherence to company policies and procedures

  • Suggest improvements for process enhancement

  • Ensure compliance with internal/external quality and data security standards (HIPAA/ISO/ISMS)

  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team

  • Comply with all employment terms, including flexibility in shifts, work location, or role as per company directives


Eligibility (for Internal Applicants):

  • SG 22 employees eligible (lateral movement)

  • Performance rating of “Meets Expectations” or higher in the last review cycle

  • No active CAP (Corrective Action Plan) or disciplinary action

  • Minimum 12 months in current role unless prior alignment is obtained from the reporting manager (proof required when applying)


Required Qualifications:

A degree in any of the following disciplines:

  • Life Sciences or Bio-Sciences

  • Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences

  • Nursing or Allied Health

  • Medicine
