Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate code assignment

  • Ensure compliance with medical coding guidelines and regulatory standards

  • Learn and utilize medical coding software tools efficiently

  • Apply foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation for accurate coding

  • Stay informed on industry updates and participate in relevant training sessions

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient records

  • Comply with employment terms, company policies, work shifts, and role reassignments as required by business needs


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:

    • Medical Sciences

    • Life Sciences / Biosciences

    • Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Nursing or Allied Health

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

  • Familiarity with ICD-10 guidelines and their proper implementation

  • Proficiency in evaluating the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAPC or AHIMA certification

  • Experience with Risk Adjustment coding
