Position Overview:

The Senior/Associate - Medical Information will be responsible for implementing and managing a global strategy for products that have already launched major indications within key geographic regions. This role will support a portfolio of global medical information deliverables, aiming to ensure that accurate and timely responses are provided to customer inquiries, whether they come from healthcare professionals, consumers, or payers. A focus on utilizing both traditional and emerging technologies to enhance customer experience and deliver content in preferred channels is key to success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:

    • Respond to unsolicited verbal and written medical information inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and compliant manner.

    • Manage a global portfolio of medical information responses, including medical letters, FAQs, slide kits, literature searches, publications, and webpages.

    • Meet or exceed customer satisfaction objectives and utilize customer insights to drive medical information strategies.

  2. Content Strategy and Delivery:

    • Incorporate an omnichannel content strategy to deliver medical information via the customer’s preferred channels.

    • Continuously improve the customer experience at first touchpoints, such as call centers, digital platforms, and field-based medical support.

  3. Collaboration and Coaching:

    • Work closely with compound and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, quality deliverables.

    • Provide training and expert support to affiliate and call center partners on product and disease area knowledge.

    • Participate in coaching and transformational initiatives to improve departmental capabilities.

  4. Scientific Engagement:

    • Provide staffing support at the Medical Information booth at scientific congresses.

    • Stay updated on product knowledge and communicate new information as it becomes available.

    • Participate in ongoing product and disease area training for internal teams.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare profession with at least 2 years of industry experience, OR

    • Master’s Degree in a healthcare profession, OR

    • PhD with relevant experience in the therapeutic area.

  • Experience & Skills:

    • Demonstrated expertise in written and verbal communication in English.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to varying environments and customer groups.

    • Proven ability to handle large volumes of medical information and communicate it in an unbiased, scientific manner.

    • Experience with literature searches and representing the appropriate threshold of evidence.

    • Comfortable with emerging technologies in medical information management and delivery.

    • High-level end-user computer skills (databases, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.).

  • Ability to work across different geographies and alliance partners.

  • Experience in medical information strategy and customer interaction analytics.
