🎯 Role Purpose

The Team Leader will oversee a toxicology team responsible for mechanistic and discovery toxicology studies to support a dynamic drug portfolio. The role focuses on:

  • Driving cutting-edge science in toxicology

  • Ensuring successful advancement of medicines to the clinic

  • Leading internal and external collaborations to inform drug discovery


🧠 Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage a team of scientists investigating mechanisms of action

  • Guide Toxicology Project Leaders delivering candidate-ready molecules

  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous learning and growth

2. Scientific & Technical Leadership

  • Analyze and interpret complex toxicological data

  • Provide clear reporting and actionable recommendations

  • Stay current with advancements in toxicology and integrate new methodologies

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal partners to evaluate toxicological risks

  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders

  • Drive technical innovations to support drug discovery


🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in Toxicology with 7+ years of experience
    OR MS/BS with 15 years of experience in the toxicology field

Additional Skills / Preferences

  • Proven track record of leading and managing research teams

  • Extensive knowledge of toxicology principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements

  • Experience in drug discovery and development

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment


💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $144,000 – $250,800

  • Eligible for company bonus
