Role Overview

The Healthcare Executive is responsible for driving pharmaceutical sales performance across the assigned territory in Mumbai. This field-based role focuses on achieving territory sales targets, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), chemists, hospitals, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and ensuring strict compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

The position requires strong sales acumen, data-driven territory planning, stakeholder management, and adherence to ethical promotion standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Sales Planning

  • Achieve monthly and annual territory sales budgets (overall and product-wise).

  • Conduct territory sales analytics to identify growth opportunities and prioritize key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the District Manager to develop sales strategies and validate rolling sales forecasts.

  • Classify medical practitioners (A/B/C segmentation) and plan call frequency accordingly.

  • Deliver tailored promotional messaging aligned with customer needs and sales objectives.

Field Execution & Market Development

  • Conduct regular visits to doctors, consultants, hospitals, chemists, and wholesalers.

  • Ensure effective product detailing highlighting clinical evidence, benefits, and differentiators.

  • Execute new product launches and promotional campaigns as per sales strategy.

  • Organize group meetings, speaker programs, round-table discussions, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) initiatives in coordination with hospital stakeholders.

  • Track hospital purchase trends and manage territory-level inventory coordination with CFA.

Market Intelligence & Compliance

  • Monitor competitor activities through field intelligence and update internal teams.

  • Forward adverse event reports and product complaints in accordance with SOPs and pharmacovigilance guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, ethical promotion standards, and territory coverage plans.

  • Act as custodian of compliance-related matters within the territory.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain daily activity reports detailing doctor and hospital visits.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of product samples, promotional materials, and detailing aids.

  • Assist in receivables collection when required and maintain expense reporting accuracy.

  • Use digital tools and technology platforms to enhance field productivity and reporting accuracy.

People & Development

  • Mentor assigned trainee field representatives when applicable.

  • Share field insights and best practices with team members.

  • Adhere to annual training calendars and demonstrate Pfizer’s global values in all interactions.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related discipline preferred.

Experience Required

  • 1–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare field operations.

  • Proven track record of achieving territory sales targets preferred.

  • Experience engaging with doctors, hospitals, and retail chemists in the assigned geography is advantageous.
