About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Head – US Business to lead business growth, market expansion, and commercial operations across the United States. This senior leadership role is ideal for a highly experienced business professional with a strong track record in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and scaling operations within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or related sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the US market landscape, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to create and execute business strategies that align with long-term organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business growth strategies for the US market.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities, untapped markets, and strategic expansion channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to drive informed business decisions.
  • Build scalable business models to strengthen the company’s market presence in the United States.

Revenue Growth & Commercial Leadership

  • Own and deliver business revenue targets, profitability goals, and commercial KPIs.
  • Lead pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Drive sales acceleration through innovative go-to-market strategies and partnership development.
  • Establish strong pipelines for sustainable business acquisition and growth.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, enterprise clients, and strategic partners.
  • Lead business negotiations, partnership discussions, and long-term contractual engagements.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction, retention, and account expansion opportunities.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing business development and commercial teams.
  • Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and growth-oriented business culture.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor team performance, and support leadership development initiatives.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Monitor evolving US pharmaceutical and healthcare market trends, regulations, and competitive landscapes.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Identify risks and opportunities that may impact business performance and growth plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, operations, regulatory, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
  • Align commercial initiatives with operational capabilities and strategic company objectives.
  • Support global business expansion efforts where required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
  • 10–15 years of proven experience in business development, commercial leadership, strategic partnerships, or revenue growth roles.
  • Strong experience in the US pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotech, CRO, life sciences, or related sectors preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-value business growth initiatives and market expansion.
  • Strong understanding of US business ecosystems, enterprise sales cycles, and strategic account management.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
