About the Role

Join Accenture as a Research & Development Consultant – Life Sciences, where you'll play a key role in transforming the Life Sciences (LS) industry through business and digital consulting. You'll collaborate with leading biopharma and medical device companies to enhance their clinical operations, decentralized trials, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance functions using your deep industry knowledge and consulting experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver management consulting and business transformation services within the Life Sciences R&D space

  • Lead or contribute to engagements involving:

    • Clinical trial operations and development

    • Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT)

    • Pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and quality systems

    • Laboratory and QC functions

  • Apply core consulting methodologies such as:

    • Issue tree creation

    • Business process mapping

    • Operating model design

    • Implementation planning and diagnostics (e.g., client questionnaires, analysis tools)

  • Work directly with clients to solve complex business problems and identify value opportunities across the R&D value chain

  • Utilize digital tools and platforms for data-driven insights and strategic planning


Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    • MBA from a Tier 1 institute preferred, or extensive relevant industry experience

  • Experience:

    • 6+ years of progressive business and/or consulting experience

    • At least 1 year of direct experience in the Life Sciences industry

    • Experience in management consulting or business transformation is mandatory


Desired Skills

  • Prior experience in one or more of the following functions is preferred:

    • Clinical operations and clinical development

    • Decentralized clinical trials

    • R&D and QC laboratories

    • Pharmacovigilance and safety systems

    • Regulatory affairs and quality management

  • Working knowledge of platforms such as:

    • Medidata / RAVE (Clinical Data Management)

    • Veeva Clinical Suite / Veeva RIM (Regulatory Systems)

    • ArisG, ARGUS (Pharmacovigilance Databases)

    • Lab Informatics platforms

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proven ability to lead project workstreams or manage functional teams
