Position Overview

Medpace is seeking Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) to advance into home-based Clinical Research Associate (CRA) roles. This role offers a career development pathway through the Medpace PACE® Training Program, equipping CRCs with the skills to become fully functional CRAs.

This position is ideal for professionals with at least one year of CRC experience, who are looking to transition to a CRA role with flexible, home-based work and competitive compensation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualification, initiation, monitoring, and closeout visits at research sites, in compliance with approved protocols.

  • Communicate effectively with site staff, clinical research physicians, and coordinators.

  • Verify investigator qualifications, training, resources, and site readiness, including laboratory and equipment assessment.

  • Review medical records and source documentation against case report forms, ensuring protocol adherence and GCP compliance.

  • Perform on-site and remote monitoring, utilizing risk-based approaches and integrated Clinical Trial Management Systems.

  • Ensure patient eligibility, adverse event reporting, investigational product accountability, and regulatory document compliance.

  • Assess patient recruitment and retention strategies, recommending improvements where necessary.

  • Prepare and submit monitoring reports and follow-up letters, detailing deviations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.


Candidate Profile & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health or science-related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

  • Ability to travel 60-70% nationwide, with some visits conducted remotely.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to research sites.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Target salary range: $70,000 – $160,000, based on skills and experience.
