Position Overview

Amgen is seeking a Global HEOR Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Senior Associate to join our Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) team. This role is central to generating high-quality, evidence-based outputs that support global access to Amgen therapies across the product lifecycle. The SLR Senior Associate will collaborate closely with the Global HEOR Product Leads and SLR Team Lead to design, execute, and manage systematic literature review projects aligned with product strategy.

This position requires integrity, precision, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment. Applicants must be eligible to work in India.


Key Responsibilities

  • Refine research questions and develop detailed systematic literature review protocols in alignment with team strategy.

  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches across electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library) and grey literature sources (conference proceedings, regulatory websites).

  • Screen abstracts and full-text articles using PICO criteria to determine relevance.

  • Prepare PRISMA diagrams documenting study selection processes.

  • Extract data into structured templates and synthesize findings into evidence tables, figures, and final reports.

  • Draft reports, presentation decks, and interpret patterns and trends across datasets.

  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of assigned work.

  • Maintain strong communication with global HEOR teams and other key stakeholders across time zones.

  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools to improve efficiency in literature review processes.


Qualifications and Experience Required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Economics, Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, or related health sciences.

Experience:

  • Master’s degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in systematic literature review within pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting settings.

  • Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience conducting diverse literature reviews, including clinical, economic, quality-of-life (QoL), and burden-of-illness studies.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, including first-pass, second-pass, and data extraction milestones.

  • Proficiency with biomedical databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE) and systematic review tools.

  • Familiarity with reference management software (e.g., EndNote) and Microsoft Office suite.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; experience in medical writing is a plus.

  • High attention to detail, strong fact-checking and editing abilities.

  • Capable of innovative use of AI tools to improve literature review efficiency.

  • Team-oriented, comfortable working across global time zones and cultures.
