    Maximus, a mission-driven consumer health company, is looking for a Freelance Content Writer with a deep understanding of scientific principles and a passion for men’s health topics. This remote (US) contract position offers an exciting opportunity to create impactful content that helps optimize the health of men through scientifically-backed articles.

    Maximus has raised $15M from top Silicon Valley VCs such as Founders Fund and 8VC, as well as leading angel investors/operators from companies like Bulletproof, Tinder, Coinbase, Daily Stoic, and Shopify. The company is committed to providing men with content, community, and clinical support for mind and body optimization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Content Creation: Write engaging, scientifically accurate articles covering topics like men’s health, fitness, nutrition, mental well-being, and lifestyle.
    • Research: Conduct in-depth research to ensure content is evidence-based and up-to-date with the latest scientific findings.
    • Simplify Scientific Concepts: Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible content for a general audience.
    • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO strategies to improve content visibility, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to ensure content aligns with Maximus' brand voice and business goals.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
    • 4-5+ years of experience in science writing, journalism, or editorial roles, ideally focusing on men’s health topics.
    • Strong understanding of scientific concepts and the ability to translate them for a general audience.
    • Proven experience writing for men’s lifestyle publications or similar outlets.
    • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in SEO best practices and tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines independently.
