Executive Program Director – Healthcare Industry (Remote, USA)
Salary: $131,450 – $220,500 + Annual Incentive & Stock Awards

Job Summary:
Cognizant seeks a dynamic and experienced Executive Program Director with strong expertise in healthcare industry transformation to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs. This executive role sits at the heart of our Global Program Management community and requires leadership over high-value engagements involving application development, digital modernization, infrastructure, and BPO services. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned healthcare leader to drive innovation, strategy execution, and governance across critical healthcare initiatives in a fast-paced, digitally enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end program governance including stakeholder engagement, change management, and communication strategy.
Oversee cross-service line delivery estimation, resource planning, and sprint execution.
Ensure program performance through KPI tracking (SLAs, bid vs. did, operational metrics).
Foster client relationships and ensure alignment with healthcare business outcomes.
Identify and scope value opportunities to expand existing healthcare client partnerships.
Support deal pursuits and solutioning from a program management perspective.
Lead multicultural, geographically distributed delivery teams with focus on well-being, diversity, and performance.
Ensure compliance with MSAs and SOWs through consistent monitoring and activation.
Drive continuous improvement in Cognizant’s Program Management Center of Excellence (PPM CoE).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
15–20 years of experience in program delivery, strategy, and stakeholder management, with at least 3 large healthcare programs.
Deep knowledge of healthcare digital transformation, legacy modernization, or domain-based IT programs.
Project/Program certifications: PMI, SAFe 5.0, Prince2.
Strong contract management, governance, and delivery assurance experience.
Experience managing global teams and working across IT, VMO, and business stakeholders.
History of delivering multi-service programs (ADM, Infra, Digital, BPO).
Experience with productivity goals, commitment-based delivery, and offshoring models.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
