Job Overview

The Epidemiology Research Associate 2 will organize and manage real-world research projects, contributing substantively to the development of study protocols, reports, and data collection methods. This role involves active participation in project meetings, data analysis, and preparation of study documents including abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
Assignments vary from conducting systematic literature reviews to developing study protocols and ensuring data quality and scientific rigor in real-world evidence (RWE) and pharmacoepidemiology studies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Study Design & Implementation

  • Support design and execution of epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology methods in real-world studies.

  • Contribute to studies on drug safety, effectiveness, and other observational or low-intervention research using RWD and RWE methodologies.

  • Provide epidemiological input to case report form (CRF/eCRF) development, data mapping, integration, and other study-related tasks.

2. Research & Documentation

  • Conduct critical, systematic literature reviews and prepare analytical summaries.

  • Draft significant sections of study protocols, reports, manuscripts, and client documents.

  • Assist with preparation of abstracts, oral presentations, posters, and slides for conferences and scientific meetings.

3. Project Management

  • Organize and manage assigned research projects ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

  • Provide epidemiological feedback on statistical analysis plans and outputs.

  • May serve as project manager or active member of client-facing meetings.

4. Analytical & Technical Support

  • Conduct statistical analysis when required.

  • Contribute to proposal development and best practice initiatives in epidemiology and observational research.

  • Support development of internal standardized procedures for RWE studies.


Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Public Health, or Pharmacy with a concentration in Epidemiology and ≥1 year of relevant experience; OR

  • Ph.D. in a related field (Preferred).

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Solid foundation in epidemiological methods, pharmacoepidemiology, and observational health research.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Edge).

  • Ability to interpret outputs from SAS, R, or other statistical software.

  • Strong medical writing, documentation, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

  • Collaborative mindset; able to work effectively in global and matrixed teams.
