Job Overview

As an Epidemiology Research Associate 2 at IQVIA, you will play a key role in organizing and managing research projects focused on real-world evidence (RWE) and pharmacoepidemiology. You will contribute to study design, data collection, literature reviews, and preparation of study protocols, reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.

Assignments may range from performing systematic literature reviews to supporting the design and reporting of observational and real-world studies, ensuring scientific rigor and data quality across all deliverables.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology methods in real-world studies (e.g., drug safety, effectiveness, and observational research).

  • Support senior epidemiologists on specific research initiatives and project deliverables.

  • Conduct systematic literature reviews and summarize findings in written reports.

  • Draft significant sections of study protocols, reports, and client-facing documents.

  • Assist in preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and presentations for scientific conferences.

  • Provide epidemiological input on statistical analysis plans, CRF/eCRF development, and data mapping.

  • Contribute to project organization and management, including documentation and coordination of project activities.

  • Participate in client meetings and act as an active project team member.

  • Conduct basic statistical analyses and review outputs from software such as SAS or R.

  • Support proposal development for new projects and internal best practice initiatives.


Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Public Health (with concentration in Epidemiology), Pharmacy (with epidemiology focus), or a relevant scientific field with ≥1 year of relevant experienceRequired

  • Ph.D. in a related discipline — Preferred

Skills & Experience

  • Strong methodological foundation in epidemiology and real-world evidence research.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; prior medical writing experience is an advantage.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrixed environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Edge.

  • Familiarity with outputs from SAS, R, or other analytical programming tools.

Work Model

  • Hybrid Role – Combination of remote and on-site work at IQVIA’s Bengaluru office.
