Job Overview
Manage a team of epidemiology staff responsible for leading or supporting sponsored research programs. Work with global clients and internal teams to provide epidemiology leadership for real-world studies across all phases of development. Design methodologically sound studies, support data element planning, supervise analyses, oversee reporting, and ensure quality, timelines, and budget adherence. May contribute to business development and internal best-practice initiatives.

Essential Functions
• Manage epidemiology staff including work allocation, performance evaluation, development, and issue resolution.
• Lead design and implementation of epidemiology/pharmacoepidemiology methods in real-world and observational studies, including safety and effectiveness research.
• Support senior staff on specific research initiatives as required.
• Serve as project lead or support project lead for client-facing or internal projects.
• Author protocols, reports, and other study documents; manage timelines for analytical and reporting deliverables.
• Review statistical analysis plans and analysis outputs to provide epidemiology input.
• Provide epidemiology input for CRF/eCRF development, form previews, and regulatory or presentation materials.
• Interact with clients as appropriate, with senior staff involvement when necessary.
• Identify and escalate client, budget, or internal study issues.
• Ensure project delivery within agreed budget.
• Contribute to process improvements within and across departments.
• Support business development proposals with oversight from senior staff.
• Represent the organization externally through conference presentations when needed.
• Conduct or supervise statistical analyses as required.
• Contribute to development of internal best practices in epidemiology and observational research.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, public health (epidemiology), pharmacy (epidemiology), or related field with 5 years of relevant experience; or Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong methodological background in epidemiology and observational health research.
• Ability to design, plan, and conduct observational comparative effectiveness and safety studies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; medical writing experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, managers, and clients in a global, matrixed setting.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Edge; ability to interpret outputs from SAS, R, or similar tools.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, able to set and meet objectives.
• Interest and ability to mentor and support junior team members.
