Associate Content Analyst – Zoological Records | Tamil Nadu, India (Hybrid)

Role Overview

The Associate Content Analyst will contribute to the Zoological Records product, curating, analyzing, and verifying zoological and life science data from academic publications. This role combines scientific expertise, content curation, and editorial accuracy, supporting Clarivate’s mission to deliver high-quality, reliable scientific information to the global research community.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Data Curation:

  • Apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology principles to extract and curate biological data from research articles.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of curated content according to editorial policies.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific trends and developments to support accurate content curation.

Content Quality & Production:

  • Achieve weekly production targets while consistently meeting quality standards.

  • Participate actively in team efforts to meet overall goals and maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Identify, discuss, and resolve subject-matter or production issues proactively.

  • Adapt to changes in process workflows with flexibility and initiative.

Collaboration & Knowledge Development:

  • Work closely with international teams in India and the UK to ensure consistency and quality of the Zoological Records product.

  • Assist in maintaining and improving internal documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Participate in training programs to enhance scientific and editorial skills.


Candidate Profile

Education:

  • M.Sc. in Zoology or related life sciences.

  • PhD or advanced postgraduate experience in zoology is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Freshers with academic exposure to zoology and related sciences are welcome.

  • Prior experience in scientific content analysis, editorial work, or publication curation is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of animal classification, systematic taxonomy, and nomenclature.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Proficient with MS Office and quick to adapt to new software tools.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative international team environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
