Job Overview:

Lead and perform pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) analysis for Phase I-IV clinical pharmacology studies. Provide consultation on study design, clinical development strategy, and dossier submissions. Support strategic initiatives and mentor junior team members in Clinical Pharmacology.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Pharmacology & PK/PD Analysis

  • Design and oversee analysis for studies including:

    • Dose tolerance and dose proportionality

    • Mass balance and bioavailability

    • Drug-drug interactions and QTc studies

    • Special populations (age, renal/hepatic impairment, gender)

    • Population PK/PD studies

  • Prepare clinical protocols, SAPs, analysis reports, and data visualizations (tables/listings/figures)

  • Author PK/PD sections for global regulatory dossiers

Project Management & Client Interaction

  • Deliver high-quality PK/PD outputs to clients within agreed timelines

  • Update Project Managers on deliverables’ progress

  • Serve as a key contact for clients, external vendors, and internal IQVIA departments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams alongside PMs, CRAs, Data Managers, Statisticians, Programmers, and Medical Writers

  • Support proposal development and budget estimation for PK/PD study components

Leadership & Training

  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior pharmacokinetics staff

  • Contribute to implementation of quality control procedures

  • Drive strategic initiatives and process improvements

Scientific & Industry Engagement

  • Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends

  • Attend relevant professional meetings and apply new technologies

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Pharmacology management


Required Qualifications:

Education Experience
PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, or related field Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
OR Master’s Degree / PharmD in Pharmacy or related field Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
OR Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Noncompartmental and population PK/PD analysis

    • Familiarity with tools: WinNonlin, SigmaPlot, NONMEM, S-Plus, SAS

  • Drug Development Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of ICH-GCP and international regulatory standards

  • Communication & Leadership:

    • Strong written/verbal communication

    • Mentoring and coaching abilities

  • Project Management:

    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple PK/PD project components

    • Competence in working within a cross-functional matrix and multicultural environment

  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and collaboration capabilities
