Job Overview

Genmab is seeking an experienced Director, Health Evidence and Outcomes Liaisons (HEOL) Team Lead to join its US Field Medical Affairs leadership team. This high-impact leadership role will be responsible for building, leading, and optimizing the HEOL function to support US Medical Affairs strategy and business objectives.

The Director will oversee execution of the HEOL engagement strategy, lead cross-functional medical initiatives, and ensure compliant communication of clinical, economic, and real-world evidence to US payers and population health decision makers. This role is field-based and requires extensive collaboration with Market Access, CORE (Center for Outcomes Research, Real-World Evidence, and Epidemiology), and Field Medical Affairs teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and manage a high-performing US HEOL field team aligned with Genmab’s Medical Affairs and business strategies

  • Ensure operational excellence across HEOL activities, including cross-functional alignment and external stakeholder engagement

  • Provide leadership on medical insight collection, analytics, and communication of actionable findings to internal stakeholders

  • Partner closely with Market Access and Field Medical Affairs teams to support payer access, reimbursement strategies, and population health decision-maker engagement

  • Oversee HEOL training programs in collaboration with Medical Affairs training teams

  • Drive professional development, coaching, performance management, and succession planning for direct reports

  • Ensure each HEOL develops and executes a tailored medical and HEOR strategy for key accounts

  • Serve as an active member of the US Field Medical Affairs Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and execution

  • Act as the Medical Affairs leader for internal and external executive engagements related to HEOL strategy and insights

  • Forecast and plan HEOL team headcount and capability needs in alignment with evolving business priorities

  • Collaborate with CORE leadership to support development of field-facing HEOR materials and tools

  • Co-lead field change initiatives to enhance effectiveness and business outcomes

  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a diverse and high-performing HEOL team

  • Ensure compliance with Genmab policies, Code of Conduct, and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee administrative responsibilities including timesheets, expenses, evaluations, and reporting

  • Represent US Field Medical Affairs at medical and scientific meetings, synthesizing insights to inform program strategies


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree strongly preferred (PharmD, PhD, MPH, MS, or MD)

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in HEOR or Field-HEOR roles supporting US payers and population health decision makers

  • 2–3 years of experience in Oncology or Hematology preferred

  • Prior people management or field team leadership experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare system, payer landscape, and market access environment

  • Advanced knowledge of population health decision-maker (PHDM) engagement processes in the US

  • Demonstrated expertise in HEOR methodologies, including real-world evidence, data analytics, and economic modeling

  • Experience supporting product launches or serving as a therapeutic or product lead preferred

  • Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization

  • Strong knowledge of US regulatory and compliance frameworks including FDAMA 114, 21st Century Cures Act, HIPAA, and related guidelines

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the United States


Compensation (United States)

Salary Range: USD 195,840 – 293,760 annually

Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location. Additional incentives may include performance-based bonuses and long-term compensation plans.
