Position Summary:

The Director, Clinical Development, Hematology/Oncology will lead global clinical development strategies and execution for oncology programs. The role includes medical monitoring, regulatory support, scientific oversight, and external collaboration, all in a cross-functional team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical program strategy and execution for hematology/oncology development.

  • Provide medical leadership for clinical protocols, reports, and regulatory documents.

  • Serve as medical monitor for clinical trials, ensuring safety and protocol compliance.

  • Analyze and interpret clinical trial safety and efficacy data.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners including CROs and investigators.

  • Engage external experts to guide global development strategy and integration of clinical practice.

  • Represent Jazz in regulatory interactions and support lifecycle management strategies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or equivalent (required)

  • Preferred: Board Eligible/Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology; US medical licensure/clinical experience

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years in academia and/or pharmaceutical industry

    • Hematology/Oncology clinical development experience

  • Strong knowledge of GCP, Drug Safety, MedDRA, and pharmacovigilance.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30–40% during peak periods.


Compensation & Benefits (US-Based Candidates):

  • Base Salary Range: $240,000 – $360,000
    (Final compensation based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.)

  • Additional Compensation:

    • Discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive pay

    • Discretionary equity grants under the Long-Term Equity Incentive Plan
