About the Role

IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research services and healthcare intelligence, is seeking a Data Team Lead (DTL) to drive excellence in data management across clinical studies. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, oversee high-quality data deliverables, and ensure compliance with client expectations, timelines, and regulatory standards.

As a Data Team Lead, you will manage single or multi-service clinical projects, guiding your team in data cleaning, validation, and integration activities while fostering process innovation and automation. This role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on clinical study operations and contribute to patient-centric outcomes globally.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Project Oversight

  • Lead Data Management (DM) teams across study lifecycle activities, including project planning, execution, and close-out.

  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data management products.

  • Oversee internal study meetings, sponsor audits, study kick-off meetings, and other project-related communications.

  • Provide mentorship and training for new team members, supporting knowledge development and best practices.

Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Gather and analyze study setup requirements from stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of project needs.

  • Oversee data cleaning, validation, and integration of new devices or database revisions with minimal guidance.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards and sponsor expectations.

  • Collaborate with programming teams to enhance process efficiency, automation, and innovation.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain adherence to eSOPs, training requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Review, develop, and maintain core operating procedures and working instructions.

  • Support creation and maintenance of study-specific documentation, reporting, and milestone deliverables.

  • Communicate effectively with line managers, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Clinical Research, Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or related field.

  • 3–4 years of direct Data Management experience, with minimum 1 year as a Clinical Data Management (CDM) project lead.

  • Advanced understanding of the drug development lifecycle and overall clinical research process.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for global collaboration.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
