Job Overview

Novartis is seeking an experienced Content Enablement Specialist to join its Procurement Operations team in India. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely management of procurement-related content across enterprise systems. The successful candidate will enable seamless purchasing from approved suppliers under the correct commercial terms while delivering high levels of customer service and end-user satisfaction.

The role involves close collaboration with Category Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement in a global, multi-country environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain procurement content across enterprise systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved sourcing strategies

  • Execute category, divisional, regional, and country-level procurement projects (strategic and non-strategic)

  • Validate and challenge procurement demand to ensure compliance with sourcing policies

  • Ensure negotiated contracts and commercial conditions are accurately reflected in SAP MM and related transactional systems

  • Implement and maintain source lists, info records, and contracts, monitoring correct usage across sites and regions

  • Resolve supplier and pricing discrepancies, including invoice and purchase order deviations

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and support resolution of procurement risks and operational issues

  • Provide inputs for supplier performance evaluations and review meetings

  • Support implementation of procurement category strategies and transformation initiatives

  • Act as a support partner to internal stakeholders across sites and countries, ensuring high service quality

  • Drive standardization and automation initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Category Procurement teams


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement operations, content enablement, or a similar role within a global or regional organization

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing models, and supply chain operations

  • Hands-on experience with SAP MM or similar procurement systems

  • Proven ability to support internal clients directly with a strong customer service mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, multinational environment

  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive and problem-solving approach

  • High level of motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement
