Job Overview

Piedmont Medical Care Corp is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), PRN to support both front and back office operations within its Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of physicians, advanced practice providers, or registered nurses. The position requires strong multitasking ability, as responsibilities span clinical support, administrative coordination, and patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of patient care activities following established guidelines and clinical standards

  • Support both front office functions, including scheduling, patient check-in, and documentation

  • Assist with back office clinical duties such as patient intake, vital signs, medical history updates, and clinical workflow coordination

  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies

  • Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures

  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with safety protocols

Required Education

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
    OR

  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant program
    OR

  • In lieu of formal education, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience

Required Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program

  • Without formal MA/NA training, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required

Licensure & Certification Requirements

  • No state licensure required

  • BLS certification required

  • Certification from AAMA or an equivalent recognized certifying body is required

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills

  • Ability to efficiently manage both administrative and clinical workflows

  • Knowledge of endocrinology care processes preferred

  • Commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and patient-centered service
