Certified Medical Assistant (Front & Back Office), PRN – Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic

Job Overview

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both front office and back office operations within our Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic. This PRN position requires versatility, strong clinical competence, and excellent administrative skills. The role supports physicians and nursing staff in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of patient care services under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse.

  • Assist with clinical procedures, patient preparation, and routine medical tasks aligned with established clinical standards.

  • Handle administrative duties including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, documentation, and coordination of clinic operations.

  • Maintain compliance with clinic protocols, safety standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.

  • Support high-quality patient experiences through effective communication and workflow management.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.

  • In lieu of formal education, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience will be accepted.

Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a medical office setting required if completed a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.

  • Without program completion, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Licensure & Certifications

  • No licensure required by law.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Certification from AAMA or another recognized medical assistant certifying organization required.
