Position Overview

The Clinical Trial Educator (CTE) provides education and support for clinical trial execution. The role focuses on trial inclusion/exclusion criteria, patient enrollment, and collaboration with CRAs and other field teams. The CTE also engages referring physicians and patient support networks to optimize site performance.

This role is field-based, full-time, and requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure trial success.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Educational Support

  • Provide education on clinical trial inclusion and exclusion criteria to trial coordinators and healthcare providers.

  • Deliver in-service presentations to increase patient enrollment.

  • Collaborate with CRAs and field-based medical teams to develop tailored recruitment plans.

  • Build and maintain referral networks with physicians and support groups.

Stakeholder Engagement & Community Outreach

  • Engage with physicians, trial coordinators, and community organizations.

  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives in clinical trials.

  • Serve as a scientific and educational resource in the therapeutic area.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete patient recruitment activities including referral outreach, chart reviews, and data abstraction.

  • Coordinate tasks across multiple functions with minimal oversight.

  • Work independently and manage territory efficiently.

  • Demonstrate initiative, technical/scientific knowledge, and business acumen.


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree

  • Clinical research experience

  • Active license or credential in one of the following:

    • MD – Medical Doctor

    • DO – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

    • RN – Registered Nurse

    • NP – Nurse Practitioner

    • PA – Physician Assistant

    • Pharmacist – RPh or PharmD

    • Occupational Therapist

    • Physical Therapist

    • Respiratory Therapist

Preferred:

  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC)

  • 2+ years of Clinical Trial Educator or healthcare education experience

  • Experience in community engagement and diversity in clinical trials

  • Business experience and customer service skills

  • Strong technology, administrative, and presentation skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $62,300 – $195,100 annually

  • Actual pay varies based on qualifications, experience, location, and schedule.

  • Additional incentives, bonuses, and benefits may apply.
